Description

One half of a natural cow (cattle) pelvis, the hip bone, most likely Bos taurus; the identification as cow is a best guess based on size and shape. You can see the hip socket (acetabulum), the large oval opening (obturator foramen) that passes all the way through the bone, and the flat, broad blade (ilium) at the top. The surface is weathered, with a lighter gray-cream tone, darker staining and natural cracks. The upper blade end is broken or worn and shows some spongy (cancellous) bone, and there are rough edges and a few small holes and pits along the lower rim. The photos show both sides and close-ups of the hip socket and both ends.

Features:
– Weathered natural cow pelvis half (likely cow)
– Approx. 23 x 10 x 8 inches
– Weighs 2 lb 5 oz
– Hip socket and oval opening clearly visible
– Flat blade end, with natural wear and some spongy bone showing
– Natural cracks, staining, rough edges and small pits as shown in the photos
– Each bone is one of a kind; you get the one pictured
